Upon arriving in the United Kingdom, I initially experienced a sense of distance from my loved ones, and apprehensively pondered over the loss of my culture and language. However, after discovering the existence of the ThaaiTamil Sangam (TTS), and subsequently interacting with numerous members of our Tamil community, my mindset underwent a transformation. I was no longer bereft of familial ties, as the community proved to be a veritable sanctuary - one that fostered an atmosphere of unwavering support, and imbued me with a sense of belonging. The Thaai Tamil Sangam stands out for its unified, Tamil-centric approach, which transcends religious differences. Encountering like-minded individuals within its welcoming embrace led me to devote myself to serving the Tamil community, and I remain proud to do so to this day.
