Identity is a precious gift, which I have only truly appreciated during certain moments in my life. It is only those who have lost their sense of self who can fully appreciate its exquisite beauty and profound significance. As the venerable saint Thiruvallur so eloquently proclaimed, we are initially united in our shared human genesis, later to be distinguished by such factors as language, nationality, and culture. To me, my Tamil lineage, my Indian provenance, and my unwavering embrace of my cultural identity constitute integral components of my being. Although migration is an inexorable facet of globalization, we are all under a moral obligation to safeguard and bequeath our cultural legacy to succeeding generations.In this contemporary era, it behooves us to imbibe the best aspects of both our motherland and the western world, and inculcate these values in our offspring. Thus, it fills me with pride to have founded Thaaitamil Sangam (TTS) in 2014, a convocation for Tamil families in Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond. With the invaluable aid of many magnanimous individuals, TTS has successfully nurtured a sense of community amongst the Tamil families residing in the vicinity. During my leisure hours, I derive immense pleasure from the companionship of friends, partaking in jogging sessions, attending spiritual lectures, directing stage productions, and penning Tamil short stories and poetry.

பெரிய வரம். அதை தொலைத்தவர்கள்தான் அதன் அருமையை பாராட்டுவர், அவ்வாறு
ஒருசில தருணங்களில் நான் உணர்திருகிறேன். பிறப்பொக்கும் எல்லா உயிர்கட்கு -
முதலில் நாம் மனிதர்கள்; பின்பு தமிழன், தாய்மொழி தமிழ், பிறந்த தேசம்,
பண்பாடு மற்றும் அதன் கலாச்சரம் என்ற அடையாளம். எவ்வளவு கருத்து
வேற்றுமைகள் இருந்தாலும் கூடி வாழ்ந்துகாட்டிய இனம் நம்மினம்,
உலகமயமாக்களின் ஒரு தவிர்க்க முடியாத மாற்றம்தான் மானுடத்தின்
புலம்பெயர்வு, தமிழர்கள் இதற்கு விதிவிலக்கல்ல. நாம் வாழ்ந்த மண்ணின்
அறநெறிகளை அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு கொண்டுசெல்லும் கடமை ஒவ்வொரு தமிழ்
குடும்பத்திற்கும் உண்டு. இந்த நவீன உலகில், மேற்கத்திய நல்லொழுக்கங்களும்,
தமிழர்களின் வாழ்வியல் மற்றும் அறநெறிகளை அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு கொண்டுசெல்ல
நமக்கு கிடைத்த ஒரு அ(சி)றிய வாய்ப்பே தாய்த்தமிழ் சங்கப்பணிகள். இந்த
கூட்டு முயற்சியில், தாய்த்தமிழ் என்ற விதை விதைக்க எனக்கு கிடைத்த பெரும்
பாக்கியம். பல நல்ல உள்ளகளின் ஒத்துழைப்பில் தாய்த்தமிழ் சங்கம்
வாரிக்க்ஷிர் வாழ் தமிழ் குடும்பங்களின் ஒரு இணைப்பு பாலமாக இருப்பதை
எண்ணி மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி. எனக்கு நண்பர்களுடன் மனதார சிரித்து பேசி
மகிழ்வது, ஆன்மிக சொற்பொழிவு கேட்பது, மேடை நாடகம் இயக்க, சிறுகதை &
கவிதை எழுத பிடிக்கும்.
